Status: offline 		I buy a twister xb because of the youtube videos and the price.
my cousing use it, I dont know what happend, that the car dont run.

the servo works, the esc looks to be working because the fan is on and have some lights

but, when press fwd or reverse on the controller, the motor instead of moving, it makes a beep sound.

I charge the battery for 4 hours, still nothing
the manual that cames with the car mention nothing about a beep sound
I read several twister xb topics in this forum but none mention the beep sound or motor not working

please advice

Status: offline 		It kind of sounds like the ESC is not calibrated.

1st, try adjusting the throttle trim on your radio. do this with the buggy turned on, and the wheels off the ground. watch the light on the ESC as you do this. If the throttle trim is not in the right place, then the ESC will not "arm" when turned on.
If adjusting the trim to the right place allows the ESC to arm, then it should begin to function correctly.

If that doesnt help, then you should try to recalibrate the ESC.

Do you have the brushed, or the brushless version? (XB, or XB pro)

can you point to a link on how to calibrate de esc of a twister?

Status: offline 		the trim in the radio is in the right position, if I move it, then the motor (or something in the car) beeps. When put the trim in the midle again, then the beep stops

is lansu brand as same as the control
 
question 1. how to calibrate it without a button
question 2. do the car supose to move if I pushed with hand? because is not doing it. 
question 3. is there a posibiliti the motor is lock up, how to unlocked and if it is covered by waranty?

the video you found is one I made
But thats for the ezrun brushless ESC.
Usually, if a ESC doesnt have a button, you make it go into calibration mode by holding full throttle when you turn the model on.
Hold full throttle when turning it on...it should beep several times.
Keep holding till it stops beeping, then when the beeps stop, go full brake....wait till it stops beeping and then let go of the throttle trigger...it will beep some more as it locks in neutral.
Wait a few more seconds, then it should be good to go.

I am 90% sure thats the calibration proceedure.

If the motor was locked up...then you wouldnt hear any beeps. The beeping is actually the ESC pullsing the motor.

you say the model will not roll on the ground if you push it? There will be some drag, from a brushed motor. But the wheels should roll when you push the model on the ground.
Are you pushing it with the power on....or off?

If you only recently bought the model, it is warrentied by redcat (all electronic parts anyway)

I see. the motor heating up and it not rolling on the ground means there is an issue. Not sure if its the motor or the ESC tho.

Do you have another motor you could plug into the esc? Doing so could show where the problem is.

Sometimes redcat wants the whole model shipped back for warrenty, but if they know based on the issue what the defective part is, then they will sometimes jsut send the part.

If I were there, I could take a spare esc and motor I have and figure out in minutes what the problem is. But over the internet I cant say.

So you should fill out the warrenty form, and describe the issue as you have here...as well as what you have tried to fix it.
