This old Topflite ARTF Nobler has just had it's third major overhaul. Replaced some bad wood, contols, hinges, lead outs, new cowling  and put in a radial engine mount. Covering is Silkspan this time. The Gee Bee style paint job turned out O.K.
Power is a new Fox.35 with hemi kit and Hi Zoot crank.
Noblers are great fun.........John..

What a great lookin' plane! It's refreshing to see a Nobler in a different scheme.

I've also added a new landing gear recently, better looking than the spindly wire legs IMO

Nice comeback Vauxhaull.
as a Gee Bee Freak, I've studied them long and hard and
there are some nice Gee Bee stunt plans available you can build.

Nice one, John. I really like your LG treatment compared with the standard version - surprising you don't see more like this.

Hi da Rock, thats just a tinplate thingy that has the copper tank filler and vent tubes soldered to it. The vent is capped after filling as the tank is a 4 oz. uniflow. Silicone tubes run down from behind the plate and connect to the top of the tank located under the bearers. Just makes re-fuelling a bit more convenient.. Two screws hold the plate to the fuselage.
I replaced the TF plastic clunk tank with my own tinplate wedge tank a couple of years back.

I flew my re-built Nobler this morning. The new Fox.35 performed really well, above my expectations.
I'll get some video next week , looks great out on the lines..............John.

Not sure what a Pease implant is, tc-62. Don't have any CL buddy here yet. I'll have to stooge it. Got my damaged 33" Sterling Ringmaster Junior nearly repaired, just have to mount the elevator and touch up paint the trim.
