Can someone please explain the meaning of "Truggy", "Buggy", and "Stadium Truck"? I am interested in buying a car/truck to play around with at the flying field but I don't even know the differences in these terms.

A truggy is between a buggy and a truck and are used for racing or bashing and are 4wd, buggies are mostly used for racing and typically sit lower to the ground than a truck or truggy and can be 2wd or 4wd, a stadium truck most of the time is 2wd higher off the ground than a buggy and used more for bashing. Hope that helped. Its like in planes, there are trainers, 3d, pattern and many more and to a new person it would be hard to tell the difference.

Anyone please correct me if im wrong on anything.

Buggies are buggies. can be 2wd or 4wd they all share a similar look and proportions come in 1/18th, 1/16th, 1/10th, and 1/8th scale

Truggies are essentially wider, and longer buggies. Truggies have a center differential, and are ALL 4wd. Notably they mainly come in 1/8th scale, but there is a 1/12th scale(jammin .5 CRT), and 1/10th scale(hyper 10tt) truggy. They also have a wing on the back like a buggy

Stadium trucks are similar in proportions to truggies, come in 2wd, and 4wd(rarely). The 4wd ST's lack a center differential. They also generally lack a wing(but some companies fling one on and claim their ST is a truggy)

So I guess I want a truck or a truggy for the kind of terrain where it would be run. Also, what is "bashing"?

bashing is a extremely loose term for basically anything not on a race track

some people consider insane jumps bashing(I've been guilty of sending my one RC about 20 or so feet up off a ramp) some people jumping off curbs.

Only issues with truggies are they are generally expensive, and there are very few RTR ones if you are into electric(majority have to be converted from nitro).
If you are doing mostly offroad in grass, and want something that can take turns this is probably one of your best bets in electric http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXCJDY&P=ML Its a truggy they slapped MT tires on, removed the wing, and called a Monster Truck.
If you don't mind nitro there are some cheaper ones

1 tip of advice is to stay away from the HPI Trophy line based on what I read from owners, and people that used em they are festering turds(like a quite a few of HPI's newer vehicles )

BTW reason electric truggies cost so much is the electronics have to be beefier than the majority of the setups in other RC's, and those beefier electronics cost a good chunk of cash. As an example the electronics in my 1/8th truggy cost $250 alone(I got it before the price hike as the current prices on the same setup are over $300).

+1 on this if you can afford it. Perfect bashers car, holds up very well in insane bashing, doesn't tip easy like other monster trucks but still high off the ground and very powerful. 8 scales have a huge dominating appearance among other 1/10 scales. All the 1/10's in my bashing spot always get out of the way of my mt4 or they will be crushed
