For those celebrating Christmas, I'm curious as to what rc-related items you are putting on your x-mas list?

At this point, I know better than to ask for much...;-). I think at this point I'd like paint for new bodies, and some tires (not sure which ones, though).

What are you all hoping for?

I'm hoping he will bring a 4.5ft 33cc rc boat,

Well that's what I asked my fiancee to get me, I mean that's what I asked Santa to bring.

I bought myself a Flyzone Select Cessna Corvalis RTF.  It was on sale for $169, normally $289!  Holy smokes!

Anyhow, I told my wife that she doesn't need to spend money on my RC addiction, it's like giving an alcoholic more booze.  I did ask for some RPM shock guards and other relatively inexpensive odds and ends.

With two kids and one income, kids come first. So I probably won't be getting anything RC from Santa (my wife lol) Although not long after X-mas, I plan on getting for myself as a gift, an Ofna Lx2e kit, Spektrum TX/RX, Toro 1/8 2000kv BL system, Lipos and tires. Gonna be a 6s beast. or maybe 4s so i don't break anything. But if I don't have the funds for that, I'll just rebuild the XS... front and rear ring/bevel gear, all new drive cups, new receiver, maybe some upgrades.

I understand. Each year my parents ask what I want for x-mas, and I say the same thing each year "nothing". I just can't bring myself to ask them to buy me something expensive for my hobbies. AMain hobbies does have a cool wish list feature, however, that you can make public. I might add some diff oil, shock springs, etc. as "stocking stuffers" and send to them.

And like cummingpower5.9, I have a wife/2 kids on a single income, so really am diligent on how much I spend (I budget and sacrifice other things so I can affort this hobby). ;-)

Well maybe now they'll have something to occupy themselves instead of coming to rob you.

Kiddo is getting a HobbyZone Carbon Cub and a Tamiya Fast Attack Vehicle. He is 8 and this will be his second airplane... his first with ailerons. He's good on the simulator, and he's been soloing his first airplane (48"-3ch HobbyZone Super Cub) for some time now. The FAV will be his first RC car.

I'm ordering the Tamiya Wild One for myself, for two reasons... 1. It was the first real RC car I ever had back in 1985, and 2. It is always more fun when others play, so I want my son to have someone to race with. That sounds like a good reason, right? Yeah, that's it. Ha!

Agreed.. I was being facetious to try to derail what sounded like a political comment, which has NO place in an RC forum.. Moving on..

Thats bs...just because someone is successful doesnt mean they rob us and we dont need to bring this kind of stuff in a rc forum.

Yep, that's me. the "Father". (Hear that, Andrew - I think you should start addressing me as "Father"). ;-)

The vids are really aimed toward beginners like my son and I (things we want to share with others), or a diary of our progress through "the hobby. We have some pretty cool racing vids coming up (cool as in that we are learning to race). The Losi buggy you are referencing is the 810. Unfortunately, it has been discountinued, but you can still find them if you look hard. It's actually my favorite vehicle. I really hope Losi comes out with another mid-market RTR buggy.
