Got a clear SS body to paint and was told it would fit but it does not...I thought all Savage bodys would fit any savage except xl..am I missing something and if so what part number do I need for a clear body to paint to fit my 25? Thanks in advance for any help.....

You sure your body mounts are facing inwards, towards the centre of the chassis?

There should be no difference in the hole spacings on the ss and 25 bodies,

Can you post a pic

as sparky 25 said there is no difference in hole spacing on the savage .21 through the X, and even the flux
I've slapped bodies I drilled for my .21 on my X, and flux(well the flux was the .21 just I swapped 80% of the parts) with no modifications needed at all.
Its one of the beautiful things about the savage platform. Parts are pretty much universal

only savages that have a different bodies is the XL, and the 1/5th scale savages they made.

So after further looking over everything the previous owner had put longer side braces on it probably about 2 or so inches longer making it of course longer and thats the problem. Side braces seem to be a bit thicker also..now I dont know what will fit??

You will probably need a Savage XL body. Take it to your LHS and try fitting bodies on it to see what would work..
