Sounds like your battery is low or can't supply the amperage the motor needs.

check the voltage on the battery pack. I know you said it was full charged but checking the voltage is a good place to start. You may also have a bad connection between the battery and ESC or between the ESC and motor. You may also try recalibrating the ESC with you transmitter.

LVC kicking in?
assuming you are using NiMh
or the NiMh can't give it the power it needs
if using NiMh disable the LVC that might fix it (how to do it on the traxxas ESC's I got no clue)

I know Traxxas offers version with with LiPo OR NiMh batteries; which one do you have?

If you have a NiMh pack, what color is the light on the ESC when it's powered on?  It should be red for NiMh or green for LiPo.

Those are two easy things to check for a fix.

Additionally, if you have the NiMh pack with the stock charger then you should make certain that the battery is getting an adequate charge.  There is no voltage dectection feature in that charger so you basically need to watch the battery and cut it off when it gets hot, but not too hot.  A peak detection charger will help you there and will also charge your batteries quicker.  Ideally you will want to look into a LiPo battery and charger for that truck.  LiPo packs can handle the amp draw from the electronics much better than a NiMh pack can.  You will notice an immediate boost in speed / power.

I have a friends truck that I'm trying to fix for him and he has a similar problem with his Castle ESC / motor.  I told him that the NiMh packs he's using just aren't cutting it.  We plugged in one of my LiPo packs and what do you know, the thing lit up like the night sky on Fourth of July!  Anyhow, the quality of the battery will make a difference in how the truck runs.

Did you buy this from  your LHS? IF so, take it to them and let them test the battires for you and make sure the ESC is working properly. If not, first thing would be in a decent quality charger. You dont have to spend a fortune on one. The Thunder AC6 is a good charger for fairly short money. It will charge any battery that will run your truck...it will tell you the condition of your batteries and has lots of parameters you can set for fast and safe charging. If you take the lipo plunge, make sure to get a balance adapter with it.

If you didnt buy the truck from the LHS, they may still help you out by checking your batteries. They of course will ask where you bought them and try to sell you more...thats what they do.

I agree, get a better charger.

The Thunder AC6 looks alright but it can only charge at 2.2 Amps.

The Imax B6-AC is the same price and it charges at up to 5 Amps.

Here's a link to both chargers anyway.

The Imax also sells on ebay but be careful, there are some non-genuine rip offs floating around.

ESC is probably detecting those batteries as 3S, and kicking the LVC in

make sure the LVC is off on the ESC...

What makes you think the AC6 only charges at 2.2A?

I'm guessing the specs where it says .1 -2.2A's
never knew that before hmm

http://www.hobbypartz.com/73p-ac680-accharger.html
that one seems way better for $5 more than the other thunder charger
