Status: offline 		I installed 6.5 upgrade last night and loved it. However, none of my airplanes/helos are visible...only the ones that were included on the upgrade are visible. I copied the files into the data folder for 6.5, and when I restarted it, it said all the 5.5 dck files were incompatible with 6.5. I'm assuming that all the airplanes that are in the expansion packs I own are compatible, but I haven't been able to confirm this. Has anyone successfully transferred their 5.5 aircraft to 6.5? What's the trick. Thanks.

Status: online 		can you install the expansion packs after the 6.5 is installed?   Think that is the key rather than just moving files around.  I also had trouble trying to reninstall an older verison of realflight.  Had to call the support line for them to release an old registration for a dead HDD.  Maybe this has to happen for the expansion packs as well?

Status: offline 		Yes you CAN install the Expansion pack disks after RF 6.5 is installed.

What is the "trick"?

1 - Run the setup on the Expansion Pack Disks "as administrator" ( something you should also do on your Realflight installation ).
2 - The Expansion pack setup will need to be given the explicit path to the Realflight installation.
3 - Run Realflight as Administrator and you will prompted for the serial numbers the first time.

If you have G5.5 you can use this MUCH EASIER method... ( note I wrote it for G3/G4 but it applies for G6.x )

Status: offline 		Thanks for the links. I'll try them once I reinstall it. (Had to give it a test run, but now it's uninstalled and wrapped under the tree until Christmas! It worked great, though.)
