yakfish -> RE: Dream Car (12/2/2012 5:38 AM)

If I ever become financially secure I have plans to build one of these. Its a Factory Five Racing MK4 kit. Even if I could find (or afford) a real Shelby 427 Cobra I wouldn't want to drive it. They ee one of the most beautifull cars ever built.

Ive always liked those factory 5s to. How much would it be to completely put together?

yakfish -> RE: Dream Car (12/2/2012 6:42 AM)

You can buy the kit for about $15,000-$20,000. Then you need the engine, tranny and rear end with brakes, paint, tires wheels and lots of time! You could probably have one complete up and running for $30,000-$45,000. The one I'd like to build will cost considerably more![:D]

We have very similar taste. The 911 GT2RS is on my short list of dream cars. As well as a 458 Italia. The Scuderia was on on that list until I saw the 458! My ultimate dream garage contains the shelby Cobra replica posted above, A real Shelby 427 Cobra (to look at and drive 5 miles a year!), A 911 GT2RS, and a 458 Italia and maybe a Audi TTRS APR stage 3.

sheograth -> RE: Dream Car (12/2/2012 7:39 AM)

As far as cars that could be within my reach, I'd pick the the new CLS class from Mercedes-Benz or maybe an Audi A8.

As far as pipe dreams, Bentley Continental GT.

lee172 -> RE: Dream Car (12/2/2012 1:20 PM)

My dream garage would consist of..

Audi S3
Mini JCW GP
Lotus Exige
Audi RS6 Avant
Porsche 911 GT2

I'm hoping to go with the S3 though.. [8D]

proanti1 -> RE: Dream Car (12/2/2012 3:58 PM)

Completely restored VW double cab truck. I don't want anything extremely expensive, or fast... just something I could drive every day.

Really want the 1st though at one point I even found suppliers for the parts to make it look completely like that too. Too bad the city I live in is hard on sports cars with all the speed bumps, and pot holes :(

Lunchboxer -> RE: Dream Car (12/3/2012 12:29 AM)

Man, why wait a couple of years?! Car loan, yo!! [:D]

Foxy -> RE: Dream Car (12/3/2012 7:26 PM)

Gemballa Carrera GT or nothing.

[image]http://www.gemballa.com/gemballa_images/MTg6MDY6MzctMjAwOTA2Mjk=/MzMxMTg6MDY6Mzc=.jpg[/image]

Though I would consider a Lamborghini Miura SV (original).

FahrtAutoRC -> RE: Dream Car (12/3/2012 11:03 PM)

Lotus Exige S
Ford Raptor Hennesy
'49 Mercury
Lifted and built full size Ford bronco
Norton Commando 850 (motorcycle)
Ferrari F430

my simple, non-millionaire achievable dream car list!

dsales -> RE: Dream Car (12/4/2012 4:24 PM)

It's hard to choose but I'd be torn between a Maserati Granturismo and a BMW M6 modified by G-Power (the old one with the V10).

The Maserati is all class, good looking, possibly the best sounding car ever but it's pretty disappointing dynamically and not that quick either. The BMW would hit 230mph when tuned up which would be hard to resist. Hmm.
