What little information that is given with the build plan's
it say to Epoxy the Elevator in place fine But how will you you be able to
brake it down for transport?

Do you Just take the wing off and make a removable support for the Fuselage?
Hit that in transit and you brake out the Elevator.
I maybe missing something here /
Any idea's "?

Ps tried to upload a pic but for some reason will not let me?
More problems that another story.

You need to add some more info like what P38. I would guess it is not removable from what you say.

It would seem to me that the solid design would keep the two booms, center wing section, fuselage, vertical and horizontal stabs all as one complete assembled unit. Then have the left and right wing panels removable so that the plane can be transported. otherwise its 5 complete assemblies that will need to be assembled at the field. Two booms, fuselage, wing and horizontal stab. a lot of assembly points that need careful consideration to include strong points for assembly and logical servo connections.Cheers,

I agree But this main wing splits in the middle and screws and pinned there.
the two engine fuselage when I take the wing off
with the Elevator epoxied in place have no support at all they would just hang there .
thanks for your replay a
have a great day

Yelp but in green got it last spring
the only thing I can come up with is there is just enough room just before the Rutter to put a plastic bolt but then
I would be worried about making the tail weak.

This model proves very well with a three piece wing conversion. Take a look at Rams thread on his highly modified Nitro P-38 . His mod and along with all others  that have put there imput into this build are a world of knowledge.

Thanks That would be great but I am not so sure. I have not been doing mod on any planes only thing I have taken a chance on has been foamys build from dollor store foam
have been fylying my twinstar to get the feel and the old P51 I have had for some years this is my 1st big boy
so I have a ton of fear for now and trying to stay on target .
Fo me to do a conversion have to see if I can get some hands on help from the Club guys here for that one

Thanks

Hello Airshow,

I still have not finished my P-38.
It still sits as my build thread far from done.

The first thing I showed in the thread was how I supported the twin booms for transport.

http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_9295912/mpage_1/key_/tm.htm

And as I had said before there is so much great stuff to learn from RAM3500's build thread of his P-38,
and check out his other threads, very informative.

A rudder turns the plane /boat left or right

I hope you get your plane build and flying .
They have a really great sound when they fly by.
