Then why would it have a plastic one in the front then?

No idea mate but it def looks like a fuel tank to me.In fact you can clearly see the pushrod running over the cutout on the shoulder of the tank and the shape of the top of it is edentical to the ones i sell.They have a cutout underneath for the shaft tube to slide under and 4 mounting bolts to slot into the engine rails.Maybe the tank in front is for oil for the shaft but its an odd place to have it,or maybe they dont know what theyre doing .

It couldn't be that as there is an oiler mounted on the left engine rail. See why I'm wondering/puzzled?

I checked out the link last night and also noted that the turn fin is mounted too far in and was surpised to see that there are no trim tabs on the transom either.

The plastic one is an air breather tank for the main fuel tank, if the boat goes upside down or fills with water, water wont go into the main tank. Norm for racing over here but not normaly that big.

I suppose 2 tanks to keep the CG if tanks are draining
