What gas engine would work well in a Sig 1/3 Space Walker? Searching this forum did not turn up an account of anyone doing that.

One of our club members has a G-62 in his and it flys well I think a G-45 would be good also it depends on how heavy yours is

I'd run a 50cc-80cc twin in the Spacewalker. Much smoother than the big gas singles, twin cylinders have the scale-ish look. Nothing against the singles, but the vibration can be tough on electronics down the road. Here's a link to a low-cost gas twin:

It really depends on the weight of your airplane and the type of flying you would like to do with it.

I just finished a 33% RV3 weighing in at 30lbs and I have a G62 on it and it has plenty of power. As others have said it depends what the estimated weight will be , what kind of room you have, and if you need any extra nose weight !
If I had a twin I would have used it as the cowl was perfect for one but this G62 runs very smooth.

Back in "The Day", the 1/3 Spacewalker was flown on a G-38. These days, we seem to like a little more power.

The "new" Chinese 55cc engines seem to be a common choice, but they are light, and your SW would probably require nose weight.

The G-62 would be an excellent choice, in my opinion.

I have an old Walker Sachs 4.2 in mine.

went with a ZDZ 50 on mine, no regrets! The plane is not 3D, but I would strongly recommend the extra power - it can really help out when needed.
