Status: offline 		 Hey Guys, I allways wanted a RC Airboat, well at 58 I figured I would build one. I have the hull started. It will be a flatty 40" long 23" wide and 2.5" deep with a step down deck. I have a new CY 27cc engine and a 15x7 3 blade pusher prop. I am waiting for my engine mount, stand and prop hub. I am new to this Forum and Airboats so I am sure I will have alot of questions and can use all the help I can get. I can not get any pictures to download here but I was able to download some into the boat section under Wind Spirit. Thanks WS

Status: offline 		Thanks, Well again I tried to download more pics but my internet sucks so I also lost everything I just typed. I will try to send more pics later. The only skin I could find was 1/8" oak that you use on cabinets from Home Depot. The frame is 1/4" Poplar from Lowes. I used 5min. Epoxy and Titebond III for glue. It is not marine grade ply so I will open the seams to make sure all edges get glued good. I hope this will give it  a pin stripe look. All for now. WS

Status: offline 		I am trying to think of the best way to mount my engine stand, any thoughts? I dont know what you call them but I have seen a half screw-half bolt that I may use but I want it to be stainless. Anyone know where I can find this in SS? Thanks WS

Status: offline 		Update, The bolts are called Hanger Bolts. I found them in stainless steel at McFeely's on line. You can get them in a box of ten. I will use these to mount everything to the boat. They will screw in and I can seal them leaving only the machine thread part exposed. WS

Status: offline 		Hi All, l Got a little more done today, will post pics. later. Having my cage custom built and should have it soon. Put the wood in the hull for the engine stand and painted the engine mount and stand today. WS.

Status: offline 		Got my cage yesterday. It was custom built by Mr. Burch of http://mudmasher-airboats.com , just as the engine stand,mount, and prophub, very nice work. Looks Great, got some paint on the cage today. Now I can tell where I need to add more wood for mounting the cage and rudders. I will try to post more pictures as soon as I can. WS
