Status: offline 		I don't have a real transmitter since i only have a MCXP so i need to get a simulator TX. Can someone point me in the right direction. I can't afford the RealFlight setup at the moment but i want to get to practicing with a sim.

Status: offline 		Just a thought............go to a RC Auction and look for an old FM transmitter which are going for $dirt and get an adapter cord to connect it to your computer/ Clearview. Or maybe you know some flyers with these old transmitters who would just give one to you.

As in post #2, check out a cheap 2nd hand Tx, but make sure that it has a trainer port as not all do.
The trainer port also varies from Tx brand and even model. e.g. Futaba had two different types of DIN ports and now a mini square plug.
A good 2nd hand Hitec Optic 6 or Eclipse 7 are good Tx (have same 6Pin Din Port as Futaba) which can later be converted
for use at field with either PPM or 2.4GHz modules.

Status: offline 		When in the Clearview site you can purchase a TX that plugs into your PC and dosn't use up batteries. It gets its power from the USB port. I believe it cost about $22.00. I have one and it works great.

I know that it does but the link on the ClearView webpage takes you to THIS PAGE but (for me at least) I am not sure which cable to buy. I think it is THIS ONE as their webpage says "Note: All Spectrum transmitters use JR USB cables" Though I note Spektrum is incorrectly spelled iirc

I am waiting for an email back from them and will post back when I know for sure.

Status: offline 		I ended up buying the RC Tech 6 CH Flight Simulator Kit from xheli. should be in by friday, we'll see if it works.

I did similar, I bought the "HeliMaster" one @ ~$30 because it comes with a decent quality T/X (Sim only of course) that is connected and powered by it's own built in USB cable. It should / will work with ClearView too ans since CV now do a free version (you have to buy the models @ ~$4 each) I reckoned I would get that software too (download it from their site) and see which one I like best

So far I am pleased with the "HeliMaster" software, compares well to AeroFlight Pro in dynamics but the scenery and "toys" are obviously not quite as good or varied. But I bought it to learn to fly, not look at the cows etc

BTW, that cable I linked to is the correct one according to an email I just got back from CV but I decided a dedicated, lighter weight T?X that does not use batteries was a better way to go !
