I'm looking for hulls that look like the boat pictured here. I know of the Dumas kit, but I can"t seem to find unbuilt ones anywhere. Size range doesn't matter. I was also considering the Shockwave 55 Hull. Could you lay some more hulls on me that are readily available?
Thanks
Mike

Hi Mart,

Does this guy make hatches for the boat? From that picture I wouldn't want that hull... It doesn't have alot of the standout features of the KV. I guess I should let you know, I'm really looking for the square 80's style angles that the boat has. That boat is much more streamlined.

Was this boat a one off boat?

I wish you did too, because I would buy it from you in a Heartbeat!
Thanks for the help and please let me know if you find anything out...
Also I would be fine with the Dumas kit, it's just I can never find it in stock anywhere.
Maybe you know places in the u.s that do have it in stock??

Thanks Mart,
Mike

If you're a member of Jim's Boat Dock there was one available and he still had it as of 9-13-2012 and may still have it.It was $200 shipped and was new. http://www.jrcbd.com/showthread.php?t=65141&highlight=Dumas+Scarab

The boat in your picture is the Miami Vice version used in the TV series. The boat used in the first season was a 39' Chris Craft Stinger which looked simular to the Scarab. Here's pics of the Stinger. The pic on the left is the boat used in the season opener and then the one on the right was used for the rest of the first season

Hans-Peter Rotschi (HPR) decided not to produce that boat (info on the Swiss board) due to minor interests. Maybe he will sell the one existing boat.
But: compared to US and Asean prices the European prices are much more higher. Swiss prices higher than rest of Europe. Quality I am not able to compare because I have never owned an US or Asean hull.
If interested: give him a mail.
