Status: offline 		Remember when the TopFlite Gold Edition 60 size F4U Corsair came out and was almost instantly sold out? Tower had them at $399 right?

Well a couple of weeks ago, they cut the price to $299.

OK, today they're advertising them for $249.99.

If you look at the 'additional discount' list on Tower's website's front page, you'll notice you can get $30 off a $250 purchase. ~$210 for a $400 ARF ain't a bad deal is it?

And if you are a Tower Club member, you could get $50 off of $250, and shipping would be free.

I wish they'd cut the P47 price like that. And the Warhawk's price. And......

Status: offline 		Not just yet Larry but it wont be long. They are demobilizing us out to the base. They are planning on turning over to the Afghans. I just soon not be here when that happens. They will be handling the base security too. I will feel so safe and secure when that happens. NO THANKS!!! But it will be there when I get there though and I already have a OS 91 4stroke waiting on it. Now to find some retracts.

Status: offline 		At $250 I just could not pass it by. I have been looking at since it was first released and the $399 price just put me off. With $50 discount I got it for $200; that is half price!

Status: offline 		During one of my club's Christmas party the other night, one of the biggest discussions was about the huge savings on this ARF.

Next summer is going to have blue skies for sure. It looks like a lot of Navy Blue is going to be in the sky, clouds or not.

It's interesting that we can get a Gold Edition level ARF for half price.

It's creative accounting.

If you're a Tower Club member, you can apply a second discount against your total purchase. The model is $249.99. To get a discount of right at $50, you'd have to purchase $250-$299 total. So he's got to buy the model and something else. He got $50 everything he bought, but figures the $50 against the $249.99 and nothing against the other stuff he bought.

If you're not a Tower Club member, you can still take $30 off your total order if it is $250-$299.99.

I posted the other thread about it probably being an unannounced inventory reduction, Tower does that occasionally so you have to browse the site regularly to catch some of them. Some time back a friend snagged a giant scale Corsair for $399.00...was on Tower's site at that price less than 8 hours.

Received a Tower email this morning announcing "Year End Sale"...the 60 Corsair is on it for $249.99. They may be clearing existing inventory as more may be on the water inbound. It is a great deal even if Corsairs are not your favorite warbird.

I believe the GP Corsair 60 has a cockpit kit as standard. Did you order another?

Sorry, I meant the TF Corsair 60 ARF. According to the manual it does come with a cockpit kit. See pages 26 and 27 of the manual. I also assembled the TF P-47 60 ARF and it too came with a cockpit kit.
