Well I got myself one of these as well, just couldn't pass it up for$200. I do absolutely hate the plain covering scheme on it though. Anyone have pics of these customized?

Mine arrived yesterday with the usual, careful UPS handling.....NOT!

Wing center section broken completely through. Tower sending another, holding this one for UPS claims pick up.

Notice the nice rectangular impression in the dented shipping box. Great handling with two day shipping!

Dick, I had the same puncture hole in mine when it arrived yesterday. But I was lucky in that no damage was done to the wing center section.

Bruce

Had it been on the other end of the box nothing would have been touched, plenty of air space there. Everything else was perfect.

UPS picked it up this morning. Sadly it will probably wind up in a dumpster at a regional claims center.

hopefully tower will drop the prices on the other top flite warbirds in the near future, wouldn't mind a p40 or p47 instead of the corsair. they need a .60-.90 sized fw 190 to compliment their giant scale bird. i would also like to see a wider variety of german, russian and japanese warbirds from top flite

R/L,
since IT IS Christmas time and you said you dont know what to do with that DLE 20, just send it on to me I'll take good care of it Im hoping that once I rcve my corsair, the RCGF 20 rear carb version I have will fit in the cowl without too much trouble.  The boxes should be delivered  today but Im having it delivered to my buddy's house since he purchased one too at the same time. ( And that will keep you know who from asking why is there "another airplane box" sitting on the front porch  !!   )
Anyone out using the RCGF 20 in their 60 size corsair ?
John

Damn you all! I have been resisting for the last three days, but today I gave in! LOL.

I'm also thinking of using a 20cc gasser. Trying to decide between the RCGF 20 and the XYZ 20.

John

John, I have a RCGF 15 that I will putting into one of my Hellcats in the (hopefully) very near future. (The one Robert built for racing which I now own and am converting back to stock.) If it works well I'm thinking of another RCGF for my TF Corsair ARF. A couple of friends here in town are building a large Lancaster from scratch and they have purchased four of the 15cc RCGF motors for it. Each one is being broken in on a sport model and, thus far, they have been very happy with the performance of them. I also have a DLE 20 that is going in my little Yak-11 racer which I think might fit in the Corsair cowl as well. Anyway, I'd be happy to fit up the RCGF and/or DLE to the Corsair cowl and let you know how they fit if you want me to. Of course it will have to wait until 12/26 since my wife won't let me near the Corsair box right now!

I purchased the Top Flite Giant scale Corsair in June 2011.  I have built kits for many years, including TF kits.  The Corsair kit is the worst piece of junk I have ever had the displeasure to work on.  Very poor design, conflicts between manual and drawings and quality of materials sucked.  I will never own a kit/ARF made by TF again.

The fellows here are having a delightful time snagging the .60 Corsair ARF for a near kit price so sour grapes aren’t going to spoil their fun.

Sorry you have a bitter taste for TopFlite kits or ARF’s. Personally I’ve had great results from their product line and will continue to purchase, assemble or build them.

Who? Me? Too many projects? No such thing! I just couldn't pass it up for the price Casey. It will most likely sit on the shelf for a while though. It will be getting a new paint job, can't show up at the field with the rediculous (my opinion) stock scheme. However, that's probably about all I will do with it.
