Hi All,

For next season I want to put together a grass strip "beater" jet. I was starting to think about a shockJet... but I really like the looks of the old, wood reaction 54. The guy who did my sign-off has one... and I really like the way it flys. But... knowing myself... I would never find the time to build a kit.

So... if you have a wood reaction 54 that you want to get rid of... let me know.. (post or PM) It doesn't have to be pretty... and light damage is fine. I don't need it to have any radio gear, retracts, or engine. But... if you have them too deeply mounted... we can talk.

Last thing... since this is going to be my grass model... if you have one that has been glassed, and has an expensive paint job on it... it's not what I'm looking for.

Thanks

Thanks for the heads up... but unless you are going to make me a smokin' deal on it... I don't like the round fuse on the ARF. (assuming it's the "X" ARF) Call me crazy... but the box fuse reminds me of a low wing "Ugly Stick" model. (I like sport planes)

Tony I have been thinking about getting rid of mine. I am sure you have seen it fly at the Farview rallies the last few years. It has been sitting in my shop since I had the engine out and slid into the fence last year. Let me think about reply selling it as it has been like old faithful to me at rallies.

"Old Faithful" is right Ron, that "engine out" last year was the only hiccup you (we) have every had in all the years of flying it!!

Tony, the leading edge is damaged on the right panel and would take a day to fix and recover. I will see if I have any pictures that I can post. Right now it is way up in my shop on the top shelve unit waiting for me to fix it. Janice really wants me to keep it so it will depend on her changing her mind for now since it is named after her.

Well Janice got her way and we will fix and fly her again this coming year. Sorry Tony, but a happy wife means a happy life. Besides she controls the BVM shipments. Lol. Jimmie, I am home today from work and got her down opened her up and made the two new ribs to install and by tonight it will be sheeted and ready to recover. I guess we will but her back into the mix at FIF 2013.
