Status: offline 		The Wrens are pretty strong engines but the Merlin 80x with the built in ecu, valves, etc has to the simplest and lightest installation.

With the service center within driving distance of you it seems an obvious choice to me. Granted, Wren's service
Thru Ron Ballard is excellent.

Status: offline 		Both turbines have a good reputation the VT80 makes for a very easy and tidy install the only negative is that the idle thrust is quite a bit higher than the Wren Jubilee no problem on grass but might need brakes on tarmac , It has the smallest GSU I have ever seen with correspondingly small letters on the display.
A pal has the VT80 and is delighted with it and does exactly what you want without any issue,
I have the Wren Jubilee which has nearly the same thrust and again performs flawlessly install is more traditional with wiring external so less tidy.

Main factor in my choice came down to $'s (£s in my case) the Wren was $450 cheaper.

Status: offline 		I have a Supersport and a new , unflown 160 K Pro. The Supersport is serial number 000001. It is still going strong.
I have Merlins too. No probs with those either.

Contact Ron Ballard Directly and ask your questions.. there is a new Jubilee engine that is very cost effective and reliable..18lb class.. It replaced the super sport guys referred to above.. there is also a Wren 100 that is the same size and weight with 22lb thrust.. motors weigh 2.2lb total. very light weight.
