Hi all,
Know it's been a bit, but wanted to shrae with you what I have been up to with mt PZ III. As some may know, I ordered the turret and side skirts from rctank.de ( great people to deal with ). While the kit is very good. I just don't think it will stand up to day to day tanking. I used the kit supplied parts for the turret. But have made brass hangers copied from the kit. I also plan on using the side skirts to provide a template for doiing the same with brass. So what do you all think?? For other pics, loolk at my post " my PZ III"

Thanks to all for your help, I just may need it again before this is over.

Jim

You know in hindsight , looking at my own pics I realized I didn't provide any feet on the lower hagers to connect with the hull. I think I'll need to solder those on to provive a stable and sturdy mounting point to the tank. Wow, and here I thought I was getting a bit closer to finishing Huh.

Yeah, I plan on soldering the rail to the hangers. The hangers will be glued to the hull and pinned with the same micro bolts that I used on the turret skirts ( see below )( please disregard the first pic LOL ).
I then plan on soldering the small Ell brackets to the rail The PZ III differes from the PZ IV skirts in that they are kinda pinched between the ELL bracket and the next skirt. The only hooks are thoses that are welded on the walkway. If all goes well, I won't need to solder the skirts on( they will be made from brass sheet ) If anything, the most I want to use for them will be hobby tac. Thanks for the support and ideas. Any other comments will be greatly appreciated.

Jim,

If you use the "EDIT" button on your message it will allow you to delete the first photo if you need to. Just click on "Delete" at the bottom of the edit window and it will bring up a list of the photos.

I think your process for the schurzen hangers will work and look good when finished.

Panzer F,
Sorry about that. This has been an on going project and I have made different posts. I suppose I should have just kept the original post and continued, but I had other questions about the tank s equipment so on etc. I had other posts in that direction. Pretty much, If you look up " my PZ III ", PZIII side skirts " and PZ III turret side skirts you'll see some other pics. I do plan on collecting all into a single thread and posting though.
Again sory for the confusion.

Jim
