What are your favourite type of rc cars and why? (Not brands or particular models)

Write your answer in a similar layout to mine below

I like 1/8 buggies and truggies because:
They are relatively large
They are much more durable than 1/10 scale and smaller, yet parts are still reasonably priced
They feel more powerful than anything smaller
They can handle grass and other difficult terrain easily
Handle much better than monster trucks and imo the flat chassis layout is better
There are some pretty well priced kits and rtr vehicles out there

However what I don't like about them are:
Expensive shipping of kits, bodie shells and tires
Need more space to drive them
Much more likely to injure people and damage property due to the weight of them
Everything in general costs a bit more such as tires, electronics, engines ect

You can discuss your different opinions please try not offend others or take something to seriously

Here is my answer in a similar layout to yours

I like 1/5 SCT's because:
I'm a huge fan of off road trucks
They are massive with a bould statement
They are very easy to drive, its like everything is in slow motion
With a pipe they sound awesome
They can handle grass and other difficult terrain easily
More suspension flex than a 1/10 crawler
Handle much better than monster trucks and imo the flat chassis layout is better like the 5ive over the MCD and Baja
The after market support is Awsome
The aftermarket Manifactures are customer support based and a few regularly surf forums
No fiddily little parts
Bigger screws, less chance of stripping
The engine is big enough to be modded

However what I don't like about them are:
Expensive shipping of kits, bodie shells and tires
Need more space to drive them
Weight
Smell
Much more likely to injure people and damage property due to the weight of them
Everything in general costs a heaps more such as tires, electronics, engines ect

I like Monster Trucks

You can run them just about anywhere
A flat piece of gravel with a pile of dirt can be fun for hours
Big wheels and tyres make me feel like more of a man
Great for doing backflips and wheelies
Plenty of aftermarket parts and scale bodies
They look awesome

What I don't like

Due to their weight, bad landings can often end with broken parts
Heavy tyres can sometimes mean endless cartwheels
If you hit someone they get hurt
They cost a fortune

I prefer 1/8 scale monster truck's.

They are large
The have alot going on (chassis design, two speed transmissions)
They have a more scale like handling (come into a corner too hard, an your going over)
They wheelie on command
they can take a hell of a beating
Run on any terrain
exciting to work on (as wierd as it sounds I enjoy an extensive repair, hence i love tvp's, just enjoy working on stuff)
They have a somewhat scale look to them, albiet the independent sus. (body types, etc)
huge suspention travel

1/8 for sure. I'm not all that particular, if it's got big wheels and a nice truck style body I think it's cool.

I love 1/8 scale. If I was restricted to just one I would take an 1/8 buggy. It does most things very well. Handles awesome, runs easily on grass, and drop in,a brushless system on 6s and you can have yourself a100mph rocket! Since l'm not restricted to just one though, 1/8 truggy is my favorite followed closet by 1/8 GT cars. I can do everything I could possibly want to do with just these two. Nothing does offroad better than an 1/8 truggy and while 1/10 touring cars may be able to than an 1/8 GT car they are much more durable and car handle ungroomed surfaces much better.

I like 1/8 MT's, buggies, truggies, SC, and GT...

For people who only run MT's, try a buggy - they are fun too.. Very fast and nimble - nice mix up from a monster. If I had to have two only it'd be my fave MT and a buggy probalby..

If only one I don't know. That would be tough... Then maybe I would spend the fortune and get a 1/5 Losi 5T... Generally though 5th scale is WAY too expensive.. Then again I don't have any place really where I could run it... Only one RC would be very, very tough. Probably an MT...

Haddi screw your format too much to remember without quoting, scrolling down constantly, or having 2 windows open :P

I like MT's the most (the large poor handling lanky ones not those truggies with over sized tires like the TT MT4 ). scalers, and buggies would probably be after that.

for scale I like 1/8th... but prefer 1/10th strictly due to size for storage, and transportation. Live in a somewhat small apartment, and have a 2 door coup that has little (useable) trunk space so storage kinda takes the cake

Own/owned pretty much majority of the other classes in a variety of scales(except 1/5th)

Only thing I don't like about MT's specially the 1/8th scale ones is how hard they are on bodies, and one bad landing can totally destroy one versus other scales, and types.

I like 1/8 scale buggies best:

They are larger and heavier than the 1/10 scale I had become accustomed to previously.
I enjoy the design with the wing and the overall interior layout.
I like that you can rotate tires and all have hex's
I like the big blocks instead of the smaller engines, more torque more balls so to speak.
I enjoy the better handling with the buggies than 1/10
They are usually made with more rigid parts than 1/10 and more durable.
Easy to run on all surfaces and rip up the grass.
Brakes have never been a problem with them.
Doesn't need a bunch of upgrades to be durable.
standard with steel gears, differentials, spurs etc, again more durable

Cons:
need space to run
Uses more fuel, larger engine
could damage people or property if run away
loud nitro pipes, kind of irritates neighbors, eh who cares
an addiction that I can't seem to break, oh well better than drugs for ya

I started in 1/10 electric in 1985 thanks to my father who saw a kid who needed a hobby. I used that car all through college, lost track of the hobby for a while and then got back into It recently with lots of growth since then. My 1/10 scale electric looks like a mini next to my current 1/10 scale and a baby next to the 1/8th. It doesn't run anymore but I do still adore it. I don't think I will do any smaller than 1/8 ever again. Unless its one of those mini losi trucks I could run in the house and torment the dog lol

1/10 4x4 SC trucks.
Much Grip.
Extremely fast.
Sturdy.
Flies great.
Nearly never bottoms out.

1/8 Buggy (don't have one yet.... looking at Hobby People Outlaw to see if i like it.)
Much like 4x4 SCT.
FAST.
Nearly never bottoms out.
Durable.

I'm a carpet guy. Either 10th scale oval or 12th scale on road. I like the speed and the precise handling of both.
if you are off by just a tiny bit, it could mean winning or finishing last. A small mistake can cost you the race in a blink of an eye.
The biggest thing for me is the door to door, nose to tail at speed, almost as big of a rush as driving the full sized oval cars. If you are not scaring yourself, you ain't going fast enough!!
