Looks good to me.

Now for a little joke for all the "Traxxas haters". Isn't that just a rehash of an old product with a new engine. Why can't they come up with something completely new?

(said jokingly)

$1200 MSRP is my guess
I'd say about $700-800 retail

I still think engine power was a problem anybody else noticed they doubled the engine CC from 8 up to 15.

Im gonna guess (and hope) we can get out hands on one for 650.00ish. I know i want one. No, if they were gonna pull a Traxxas, it would be a Savage still sporting the original .21 with different rims and tires wearing a new body. Savage SCT, yours for only 750.00 but you need an Itouch to start it....

well look at the 1/5th scale one extended the chassis a bit, and slapped a sct body on it with almost another $400 where you could bu the flux, and the TCS 1/5th scale kit for $300 less

For a mt that thing is awesome! Nice to see a company break the mold and try something new. I wonder what the power out put will be like? I'd love to see a vid of it running. Good job HPI!

Something new? Bergonzoni made 1/8 scale gasoline powered cars 15 years ago. They didn't catch on due to relatively poor performance in comparison to .21 powered. Hopefully the engine HPI will be using will have enough torque and RPM to make this a hit.

I really didn't think it was going to come out. I am still skeptical on performance. I'll be surprised if it matches the power to weight ratio of a decent .28. ( including vehicle)

looks great, and I'm sure it will be $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

No if I can upgrade my Savage to the gas engine that would be nice...

Doubt it though.

Im guessing $750 but it would have to be less for me to get one..i would just get the 1/5 scale far a little more.

Yep, if its not significantly less than the 1/5 scalers its not going to sell very well.

ok ill admit it.  i didn't think they'ed follow through with it.  i figured they had forgotten all about it just like all of us did.  seriously a 1 year wait?  then they dropped a few other "new" cars and blah blah blah.  i gave up.

i still bet it's stupid expensive though.  i said on another forum im betting it's about $700 retail at first.  then once the first wave is overwith it will drop to 600 something.
which makes it to expensive for me.  which is probably fine because i bet its louder than the nitro and therefor i have no convenient place to run it

Wow. This might actually be my first fuel rc car. Gas engines are much, much easier to tune/maintain/run than nitro engines right?
