I was planning on sanding the top wing and mounting it tomorrow but I have been informed that I have other, more pressing, matters to attend to.
Picking up a microwave and installing it, I guess the old one is just to old. And I have to install some lighting at one of my sons house.
Of course you guys know where my heart will be.

The honey doo's are done. I have got the bottom center of the top wing sheeted along with the cabane mount's. When all that dries will do the other side.

LOL, of coarse !

I took several close-up's that i thought might give you some ideas you could modify to suit your own pitts, although if your going with two aileron servos on the bottom wing and using the pushrods for the top wing they wont help any i'm afraid. I dont have any pictures of the model with the sliding canopy on, i took a couple like that. It was getting dark so i'm not sure how they will turn out.

Yep I'm doing two servos on the bottom and push rods to the top. Currently trying to get the top wing perfectly aligned and cabane blocks epoxied in place. What a PITA!

Red arrow is center support for incedence. Yellow is for strut support to stop any  twist. Green is for holding the wing horizontally level. The blue is for an even distance LE to LE. And the black is the same as the blue but for tip to tip.

Yeah, that has to be the worst job on the whole build. I took an eternity to complete it.

It took me quite some time to get the wing aligned. And now I see why it was so difficult. The wing cabane mount's are offset of the center line, don't know how I did that. The left side of the stick the red arrow is pointing to is the center line. The Green arrow is pointing to the wing bolt, it is 3/16 off center. I guess I'm going to have to have a do over.  Do you guys think this is going to be noticeable or should I leave it. I've got a couple hours to think about it before the epoxy starts to set.

I have no doubt you pitts will be a mini marvel robert. I think if i wanted to make it super scale as your doing, i would need t strip the covering off, cover it with a fabric with all the panels and fit the pushrods that i couldent be botherd to fit when i was doing the original build.

I should say that the ultimate is not mine, it belongs to my good friend and flying buddy. I've never had a chance before today to get a picture of them together.

I have to agree, the build has been 100% accurate up to now Robert, it will bug you every time you look at it. I know it's a real PITA but you'll feel so much better when it's done correctly.

A mistake I don't know about untill it's to late is one thing but to know there's a mistake and proceed in error not going to happen.

Good on you. Way to much quality invested at this point to not be spot on here. Even if no else had evere noticed it, it would have bugged you and cheapened the final product in you eyes.

Ken

You may be spot on there Ken, but I think it is more about our character. Some could have just as easily kept going with the mindset of no one will ever know. But for some of us that is not a possibility because "we" know.

It was the right decision robert, looks much better. If you do compete with it, someone might have picked up on it in the static judging.

Like with the landing gear, take the time now to get it right. Nobody can knock it now.
