I've got a China Model Products T-6 Texan, 83" WS with a 30cc gas DLE. Question is where can I get LG struts that have that particular T-6 bend in them? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks, Ken McCormack.

Robart may have something close or they will make a custom strut for you. Dan.

What bend are we talking about Motorhomer? Here are the Robart units on my 83" Midwest kit. Very sturdy and highly recommended if they will work in your application.

Chad, on the CMP AT-6 it has the correct bend in the wing for a correct scale strut. On the full sacle T-6 it had a bend in the strut to get the wheel out in front of the leading edge to help ground handling, among other things.
Thanks guys

Motor, Here's the drawing for the Robart strut that is designed for 18 to 25 pound models. It may be too long for your application but they can be easily shortened. As you can see. it is straight down to the offset. Dan.

Well, maybe I've been mis-informed. But the strut slot in my CMP T-6 has a very distinct bend or kink in it. I'll have to show the center section to a very knowledgable friend here in the area. Thanks guys

Raptureboy, yeah, I know what you mean. They can & will say stuff like "Man, look at the workmanship on these babys!" Well gee, if they are so darn expensive that only the well to do can afford them, then I don't need 'em. I was looking at some E-Flight retracts for a foamie I have, and the prices are, to put it mildly, NUTS!!!
Oh well, they find people that will pay outrageous prices for this stuff. Look at the prices for the F4U with the hyd. folding wings. It's sickening!!
OK, time to get off my high horse and live with it!!
Mac

My pleasure Ken and I hope you were/are able to find something suitable for your Texan. You guys have a flying site there in Quartzsite by the way?

Oh yeah Chad, we have a GREAT flying field here in Quartzsite. Two runways, paved, one runs East/West about 60 feet wide and 600' long. The other runs NE into the E-W runway, 60' wide and 300' long. We have about 30 to 40 tables for your aircraft. The town of Quartzsite owens the land and did the paving. Our club oversees the field. If someone new comes to the field to fly, we do ask that he have current AMA insurance. If he doesn't & won't join the AMA, we can't stop him/her, however we will shun that person to the max untill he does join.
Thanks Chad,
Ken McCormack
