require advanced skills. I have 15 years experience with
airplanes but they were all arf. Probably built 50 arf"s

Status: offline 		Most are easy build and come with excellent instructions, I did the "Short Stuff","Pay'n pack" and "Comp. DV-21" years ago without problems. The scale boats are a bit more involved if you want to achieve a great look (many details).

Status: offline 		I have to agree with Coriolan, but with one recommendation:
all the Dumas kits I've ever seen are made with 3/32 mahogany doorskin for much of the framing. Use the mahogany for templates and recut all of the framing out of aircraft grade plywood for main load-bearing parts and lite ply for the rest.
My reasoning for this is, after building two sport sized hydroplane kits, I found the mahogany to be very fragile and splinter easily. I am presently building a second Dumas sport 20 sized Pay'N Pak kit and, after building a modified remanufactured version, have found the mahogany to be almost worthless compared to the various plywoods used in the remanufactured boat.
