See photos. One is tornado skid and other is volcano skid for semi. I don't have semi body so I just used my F250 to resemble the finished look. This post is tornado only. Next post is volcano semi.

pics of chassis on tornado for john to see.
front needs added bend for kickup in the chassis.
Rear bumper could be brought in and lowered a bit.

And (this is preference) I think the front would look better if the chassis plate itself was widened to the point of the added bumper bar. This would slim down the look of the front while still giving it protection.

Also, I used a larger drill bit to add some countersink to the holes. Later, when I install flat/tapered screws they will be flush with the bottom of the chassis.

for your 1st shoot and not even having a tornado to go by, you got pretty dang close!

Jonathon,
I finally got it yesterday. It looks good but, the front plate is a lil too wide and high, It covers up the headlights I have on it. Take a look below.  It seems if I could reverse it, and make the front the back and visa versa it might work. BUT the chasis plate itself is oddly shaped so you can't just reverse it.

Ill post a few pics of elevated body, I added extra insulators and pin my body in the last hole, that should allow lights to clear. Bumper looks good though. Definitely gonna protect the semi body. If you want a shorter front bumper I can build another. I guess building without having the truck is harder than I thought. Especially when there are lights involved. Did you bash test it? We are in North Louisiana today and there are several of the trucks with these bumpers and they are surviving ridiculous spills with the extra protection. Let me know your thoughts. If you need another, I can try to get a semi body from my Redcat LHS, we are rather close now as they want to carry these bumpers too now. I'll get yours right and most likely discontinue building without the RC in hand.

looks good with the black semi body!
will do an awsome job keeping that body from getting busted up.

I should have my chassis adjusted and new pics up in a couple of days.

Looks good, with the way I keep hitting things I will need a bumper that goes a the way around the car.

Any word or new photos on the bumpers? Did anyone get to bash it up and stress test it?

 Nitro,
Stress tests of the aluminum dogbones were both win and loose situation. After replacing the weaker link dogbone with heavy duty home made one I was breaking stub axles really often. So I made a few stub axles from grade 8 material which should outlast the truck and it simply led to diff cup wear. I guess something has to give. I included the new stub axle pics and I am also using the S30 hex instead of EPX version. The axles are definatley a plus in performance but the tire of choice for me is just a bit too hard on the truck. I am going to attempt to run a stampede universal next to see if reducing the play in the drive axle can keep the drivetrain in one peice. I'll update again after this test.
