*CHANGE STOCK 15T MOD1 PINION OUT IMMEDIATELY. IT EXPLODES AND TAKES THE MOTOR SHAFT WITH IT.* Other than that it rules.

Looks pretty cool.  I've been looking at that car. (I'm a big fan of WRC)  How does it drive off-road?  Is the suspension travel up to the task?  Or is this another one of those gymkhana cars?

It drives really good off-road, even with the tarmac tires. I have changed the tires to the WR8 nitro style off-road tires, and its even better. I mainly only drive off road, but recently I've been hitting a school and doing sort of a Rally Cross course of on/off road and its super fun. I'd have to say this is the funnest RC I've had to date. Check out URC's review and driving vids on Youtube. One thing to note, is you have to change the pinion right off the bat.

Let us know how that puppy holds up.  From what I've been reading here, the new HPI stuff doesn't hold up very well, and some people are wondering if HPI has gone completely nuts with some of the crap they've been putting out.  But that's hearsay.

in this things case its a remake of the HotBodies Lightning GT which was out like 5 years ago in the US, and from what I heard was a very robust RC so if its anything like what its based on it should be good. The ones they based on hotbodies vehicles are pretty good from what I heard, its the ones that are unique to HPI, or bought from other companies they have been screwing up.

I understand these are base on the bullet. I'm real happy with my bullet. It's kind of like a mini savage.

My WR8 showed up today. I bought a 300mm Pro-line VW Baja shell..... A perfect fit! So pleased.

I bought a Savox 1256TG servo I'll waterproof, a CC 10A BEC and a 36mm motor heatsink/fans.

The stock 15t pinion will be tossed into the trash 1st thing.... I picked up a 13t and 20t pinion to run 3S.

well the bullet is the hot bodies lightning GT in diff colored aluminum,
but yea I meant based instead of remake bleh just read it. Pretty much they slapped shorter arms, dogbones, and smaller tires on a bullet/lightning GT.

I wanted to extend the battery tray and move the ESC to a central balance point, where the center of weight is 50/50 front-back, and side to side. I believe having the ESC above the center differential will allow me fashion a cover to keep the internals (everything below the ESC) free of debris, with the added benefit of 360° airflow around the ESC above the cover.

Are you gonna keep that Ford Fiesta body? I might be interested in buying from you.  What are its dimensions?

I am just waiting for my car to arrive!!! I have been wanting this thing since it came out, and am anxious to get it! I want to try it on the local short course track in my town. From what JANG said in his video review, ride height is easily adjusted. It was actually his review that sold me on the car. I watched another review and even though the guy didn't like Ken Block, he had great things to say about the WR8.

I did read a couple of posts on a forum where folks were complaining about the ESC's failing. Anyone here have an issue with their ESC's?
