I would convert it to ignition and still use a very small amout of oil in the fuel.  If you use a glow type carb you can use a mix with alky.  If you install a walbro carb, you can use gas...but they recomend a small amout of oil in the fuel even though it has its own oil supply.   Capt,n

Oil in the sump, 2% oil in fuel for the valves.
2 or 3 types of carbs, ranging from poor to junk.

I would & do use the same oil I place in the oil sump. If I use Klotz in the sump...then its Klotz in fuel.  If I use Mobile 1 in the sump...then I add Mobile 1in fuel.  I change the oil about every 4th run.   This engine will run with  only 1 degree difference in temp from one cyl too the other.  Made In Germany.  Go to   http://www.mecoa.com/kavan/index.htm for more data.

I see thath will need to change engine mount suport in other way because I need some space for the walbro.

I see carb suport was not well tightened, i decided to unassamble some part to fit itcorrectly

Looking good so far. Keep up the good work.  Just looked at my Kavan. It seems like the 2 upper mounts could be spaced out a little each way with a fill in adapter...then there would be room for a regular pumper carb.  I just may do that to my Kavan.   Capt,n
