Recently swith C broke off my Futaba 9CSuper. I have the new switch. I removed the back of Tx after removing battery. I can see the back of the small PCB that has switch C & D soldered to it. That board does not seem to be removeable so I can get to the switch. I am almost thinkng at this point I should send the unit to Futaba for doing the repair work. When in doubt.....let the pros do it! Any comments, suggestions, etc.

I use Radio South. Next time I have a problem I may give Futaba a try. No reason, I have just never used them. Maybe they will feel ashamed at how the silver finish on my radio started to blister and peel off from day one and replace it?? Like I'm sure they have a replacement case on a 20 year old radio??[:D]

Remove the smooth round retaining nuts on the outside that mount the switch to the case. The PCB with the switches will come right out. You will need the soldering skills to remove the solder from the switch leads through the PCB without damaging either. I use a solder sucker and/or solder braid until the holes are opened up. All in all it's about a 20 minute job.
