Hi Guy's
Here is our next project that my brother and I have picked up.
These are a pair of davette hulls they are a !st Gen models and are made in the states.
The purple one is a Davett TAF hull and will have a rear exaust RCMK engine in her.
The black one is a Davette SS hull and will run a RCMK donk with a MHZ S6 leg.

Looking foreward to seeing these two running on our lake.

Hi Dana

Bruce made it out of a rotor blade and the tube slides inside another so has can adjust the wing,
he will pin it off at the angle he wants on her. I showed him the one that you built and he went from there.

Took the drag boat out yesterday and today.

I don't have the video of the maiden voyage but here are some happy snaps of her in action.
Today we dropped the tabs abit and took some on the hopping out of her, though she is still a handfull in the corners
but adds to the fun.

We are very happy with the result sofar. I will post the video when I get it.

Here is the ss model ready for her maiden run when the wind dies down.
We are going to run some balast in the nose to compensate for the leg and see how we go COB is about 29% at the moment with the balast.

Looks like it has some torque roll to it, or is it an illusion from the camera angle.

Cheers

Looks like your getting her dialed in pretty good . Good job . Yeah that design was a handful on rough water , that's why I changed the hull design .

jvdd:  What prop are you running on your Drag Boat.  I have one of the flat bottomed DaVettes which is almost ready to get wet.  Just waiting on my Redline Hot Pipe to arrive but all of the ponds I run on are frozen over this week.  I am going to start with a 3 blade classic hydro that I have and maybe try a 275/2 that I also have laying around.  Looking for something that will give me explosive starts.
