Have you considered getting a DIY Drones Arducopter? it all works as a unit.

I have no association with DIY Drones but respect what they have assembled on line.

I would recommend starting out simple, And cheaper.

Turnigy H.A.L. (Heavy Aerial Lift) Quadcopter Frame = $63.90
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__22732__Turnigy_H_A_L_Heavy_Aerial_Lift_Quadcopter_Frame_585mm.html
or Hobbyking X525 V3 = $13.99
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__22800__Hobbyking_X525_V3_Glass_Fiber_Quadcopter_Frame_600mm.html

I built the x525, with the Hobbyking i86L Multi-Rotor Control Board (Lite Edition) = $18.99
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__24354__Hobbyking_i86L_Multi_Rotor_Control_Board_Lite_Edition_.html
Easy to setup and works great.

For the motors and esc: 4-2213n 800kv motors – $8.72ea.
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=8622
HK 20/18a esc (product ID : HK-SS20A-HW) - $7.38ea.
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=6548

Add up: Frame:$14.00,Control board:$19.00, 4-esc and motors:$64.40,=$97.40
Under $100, You will need battery connections, power distribution board and servo leads, props. But you should be under $150.00

Just something to think about.

hey guys i really appreciate all the feedback.

I have purchased a frame from hobby city,

http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__22781__Turnigy_Talon_Quadcopter_V2_0_Carbon_Fiber_Frame_550mm.html

Would like to know what you think of this frame. I also still have my homemade one which i still think is a really nice frame.

I am using the following gear aswell

http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__26988__Turnigy_Aerodrive_SK3_2822_1275_Brushless_Outrunner_with_Short_Shaft.html
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__2163__TURNIGY_Plush_25amp_Speed_Controller.html
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__24723__Hobbyking_KK2_0_Multi_rotor_LCD_Flight_Control_Board.html
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__8992__Turnigy_9X_9Ch_Transmitter_w_Module_8ch_Receiver_Mode_2_v2_Firmware_.html

Please let me know what you think. Also has anyone had any experiance with the KK2.0 controller. I am looking at getting the HoverflyPro but though for 25$ i may aswell give the kk2.0 board a try.

Thanks Guys!
