I recently bought a ESM Tigercat  and I want to remove big boss nose art graphics with out sanding the fuse, if possiable I like to not have to repaint.

Does anyone know of a process that can be applied to remove just the graphics without hurting the paint?

If they are stick on decals try WD-40. Add a little heat from your covering gun.

The decals on ESM planes are clear coated and the only way to remove them is to sand and repaint. If you put glazing compound around the edges of the decals you do not have to completely sand them off. I have repainted the ESM B-25 and Corsair. The B-25 was sanded and repainted with exterior latex house paint. I then made new decals out of vinyl. The Corsair I painted out the light blue color. I matched the Dark blue color with Behr paint from Home Depot and taped the decals to prevent painting them.

Those are for the adhesive backed removal. Your decals are clear coated. You will need to sand them off. Good Luck.
