it is not chilish as you say i have the tank soon , gonna a bit personalise it, i also mention john was the builder but none of you have read that because the tread was going on between the lines  ... i was making here a quick tread of my new one ... on BTB it clearly stated here i was making a story around it ... i have done a lot of builds ... the guy's who knows me are awere of that ... it's now mine and i can do whatever i want with it but i promised john not to make huge changes and let it be in the form it is presented on me ... so i only have to keep my word to john its to pretty to mess with it !!!

i've got the same reaction on my Panther II ,i also bought it but did a lot of changments on it , some guy's were also not happy and negative ... not that its affected me , from my huge tanksassortment i only bought 4 of them almost fininshed ... if you are jalous why don't buy one of you own ... by the way i have 24 tamiya tank ... comprendo

vent it off line negative critics
but i admit it was not so clearely what i was writing was not ment to be a long tread just a presentation ... then am guilty ... read it throughout then you understand ...Where do these guy get the right to call me a liar ?

Wow Karl,

All you had to do was tell us you bought the most fantastic model from John and Elfi and that you wnated to share their work with us. Why bend the truth and say it was your build? We trust the people on this forum and you have broken that trust. Puts all the work you have done in question, even if you did the work we have no way of knowing if you did or didn't. I am sad to read this.

if i am a bit honest i must say i got great help of john catton he is building these things a long time, the second on one of the foto's is also from him

mine just needs a bit more weathering , and flashing the marks a bit out

read this chris and nitrojunk its not clearly written but i never said i  build it , read the second sentence , in the third i say i gonna weather the easy eight more because all my ardennes tanks are pretty dirty like the real vehicles

and by the way it was his wife elfi who did the whole build

If one reads the quote above Karl clearly states that the Sherman was built by John, he also states that the second Sherman in the picture is also built by John, Karl like a number of others on this forum uses English as his second language though he tries his hardest sometimes he may not come across as clear as he would like this is not a deliberate intention he’s not deliberately trying to be vague, it’s very difficult to try and explain yourself in a second language especially grammatically so give Karl the benefit of the doubt.
I know Karl personally and can vouch that he has a large selection of Tamiya 1/16 tanks; he does have a small number of tanks built by others but always states if he didn’t build it himself all the work Karl has posted is his own I have spent many an evening and model event with Karl as he has carried out his own work.

I agree I myself have picked up many tanks prebuilt on ebay and then added my own changes .
I like Karel47 builds if he done the full build or not I.m building a Panther II myself after seeing his last year he traded a kit for his and made his own changes look at HL did you build it no it was built already you just add your touch .

"if i am a bit honest i must say i got great help of john catton he is building these things a long time."

Whatever the facts, John Canton is one of the very best scale rc tank modelers around for all those who have not heard of him, but this Sherman build was started during the summer of 2008 and I believe built by Mrs Canton:

See the great build thread here: http://forum.axels-modellbau-shop.de/thread.php?threadid=483

Many modelers followed this build at the time, as did I, so it is not new.

Karl bought a great model and something got lost in the translation when he posted, I seriously doubt anyone would try to take credit for a well known master modelers publicized work.

FYI, the Canton's figure work is amazing, both are outstanding artists and the self portrait figure of John (below) is amazing!

Enjoy, John

thanks guy's i will put clearer sentences onto the forum here but english is not my second language, i understand it very well but writing is sometimes difficult ..., but i admit i was going to fast over this tread had to add more explanation about it

because more dirt its the only thing i change on john's easy eight and it was john's wife elfi who build it, john had done the paintwork , i was not knowing john before i bought this one ... the contact is very well

Karel, I owe you a public apology!!! I read through your posts today and you did tell us that John was building this tank for you. See the text in blue above.
I should have read all your posts more carefully instead of just jumping to a wrong conclusion. I hope all here on the forum will except my apology as well. I am always fare and honest. When I am right about something I will stand by it if I am wrong I will always apologize and make things right.

Thanks, Rudy

that's nothing maus accepted , i had to explain more clearer but it was ment as a quick tread anyway ... he made museum quality models John Canton, i even didn't know i was buying from such a great talented modeller that's explains why it is so perfect in any way ... but it is elfi's his wife who build it that way she is a very skilled modeller to ... am eager to meet them soon , they are stopping to make rc tanks was the reason giving to me why he sold it. Stuning work we can learn so much from guy's like john and his wife elfi ...
even those metal impact tracks are blending right into the model ... it was not cheap but it is a once in a lifetime oppertunity to get such a masterpiece into your collection!
I also bought from rivetcounter his 1/16 Tiger I and his KT Henshell when they were for sale ... and from Bas his  Panther II these were the only one i didn't build myself , marks ones had both a smokemodul into it proportional this was three years ago i think

i added the weld on marks Tiger I and KT Henshell , even on a finished model with candle and a miniscrewdriver it added a little more accurasy onto it , onto the panther II i scratched the loadershatch open and added equipment on the sides like on all panthers

I have been following this thread and i must say I am very pleased that it turned out this way.
There is so much negativity in this world and sometimes these forums can become a flashpoint for anger, misrepresentation and, in general, the ability to write things that one would not ordinarily say to another person without serious thought and often, more research.
Often, the only connection to another person online is their written word. Without the other cues that life provides when interacting with people on a face to face interaction, miscommunication and anger can quickly result.
Plus - you do have a certain number of flakes and misbehaving people that prowl these forums.
However, this is a wonderful hobby and although I am new to it and do not have the history that so many of you do have, I thoroughly enjoy the luxury of sharing such a unique passion with others that are like minded.
As such, I promise to think twice before I type and to try and offer only good things in print and photographs and I want to thank everyone here that has helped me and answered - often - questions that show my ignorance.
I wish everyone a Merry Christmas,
Sincerely,
TSull

Tsull thanks for the nice words, anger and voilence cause so much pain, everyone can mistaken some words ... i don't care but the sadness is that some guy's  can't get over it  ... ass you see little reactions anymore
but am used to it , i'll do my hobby and like to share thing i've got or how i do it ... thats why the forum are there ... i have much learned from others i have no problems poeple copy my techniques that's what rc tanks and modelling are , learn and copy the good things into your arsenal and use them to get better results ... that's the fun of it when a new technique works its so much satesfaction you get of it

anyway Tsull thanks for the sharing
