Hello,
its been a long time since i last ran a boat or posted ,i picked up a ready to run Manta Ray yesterday and have a couple of questions .
Its fitted with what i think to be a spd drive ? but can anyone tell me what version ?? also anywhere in the Uk i can get a spare flexy ? .The engine is a Zen 23 but i was told by the vendor its a modded motor ? says ez 23 with a red spot on both the pull start and cylinder head ?
The boat is in great shape but came with an open un muffled exhaust that i have replaced with a Prestwich pipe and homemade header, lastly its got a water pump something i have not used before and was wondering can it be tested without putting it in the water ,
cheers Euan.
ps i will add some more photos in a bit

You can get a flex from Dave at Prestwich, cut and make your own.

The pipe and header together look like they are going to be way too long to get best performance from the motor. You are looking for about 340mm from the flange along the centre line of the header and pipe to the widest part of the pipe.

Lots of water lines to put in place before you run it as well.

Hi Euan if its a dbl ended square setup your only option is whobbies or a custom made one.Personally id swap out the stinger for a standard type so you can use the welded flex and stub shafts you can get those with square ends more easily .
Mart
