Yeah, I saw the same thing....We used to get some early OS140RX's that did that crankcase twist when checking with strobe.....

This was so obvious, you can see it on camera. The front end may need some more beef maybe? Beautiful engine and sound otherwise!!!! Wonder how heavy this is. You also gotta love how the prop is mounted. No screwy screws. And this is a 220 ccm, 4 stroke engine!!

Ultralite?? Very cool engine other then that one little problem. Pretty good first run up. Sure no lag time in the revs.

No run out on the engine, watch long enough and you will see its vibration causing it.

Inline, radial, maybe a boxer. but a V4? I don't get the advantage to that at all. I think I've got the same engine in my lawn tractor.

I'm no engine expert, but it looks like belt-driven overhead cams. I can't help but think that timing problems will be common as the belt slips, ages and stretches. Also, what's with the plexi in the center of the V?

It looks like that would be a perfect engine for an ultralite

Cars have been using belts to drive the camshafts for years and as a rule they are good for 60,000 miles before the recommended change out, so I serious doubt there will be any issues with the belt driven cams.

Although it is a very nice piece of work, But an engine of this size most people would have little use for in our hobby. I agree it belongs in an ultralite or small car

I'm not sure how you guys are figuring the CI the best I can come up with is 13.20, I must be doing sumpin wrong???

I notice the flex in the crank as well, some what scary to see but if a person really knew how much flex a standard car or truck crank has they would be afraid to drive it

This is probably just a one off... I cannot see the need for the v4 when we have opposed on the market at a very reasonable price. DLE?

I commend the guy on his work... very nice, but not practical unless he has made it with a CNC machine and is able to push the button and pop more out. That prop shaft is wobbling, it is not vibration.

It sure does not sound like an aircraft engine... fuel injection??? that is where he should focus. Electric start..

Pretty coolI expected it to have more "rumble" tho. Maybe a different firing order than other V4's I've heard (motorcycle v-4's)...even the other video on Youtube with no mufflers, it still sounded pretty quiet. Cool motor though!
