Hey all,

Its been several years and i am looking to get another RC, Looking at the Emaxx and Savage Flux. So much has changed wondering what people think of these. I see Savage is going to make one with a reg gas engine also. So confused what i want with all the new stuff. Open to ideas. Must be 4x4 hate getting stuck on sticks an stuff

skip the emaxx, as it still has the same issues that it had day 1. mainly its bulkheads are weak. The savage flux will out preform it in every way.

As for the gas engine as it was literally just shown don't expect it in production for at least 4-6 months

Might be better to hear though what you are expecting out of the RC(and expecting to spent total) as MT's generally do not have great handling, and things like the savage are more meant for insane jumps, and stuff

From what ive heard you cant go wrong with the savage but I would also look into an e-revo, the revo is my favorite rc i ever owned and ive owned a t-maxx and an e-savage.

Thanks guys, Mine is mostly going to be back yard bashing stuff. The E-Revo looks sweet just not sure i can sneak THAT much out, Wiife was going to get me a Large RC airplane for xmas . THANK GOD we decided to discuss what we had planned. I had a rc plane prior to the rc cars well the 2nd flight smashed it face first into a rock and i decided then that was not for me. I then bought a CEN GST and liked it a lot but parts were hell to get at my LHS. Will look closer at the Savage and thanks

I'd go http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXCJDX&P=ML over a revo any day, but unfortunately they are out of stock currently

Having owned the E-Maxx, Savage and E-Revo... I can say without a doubt that the E-Revo is the better choice here of the three. I liked the E-Maxx and never had a problem with the bulkheads but it just drove like a dump truck. The Savage drove worse and it was a PITA to work on. I tried to like it but just couldn't.

Still have my E-Revo and it's going strong..

+1 I have one and its awesome. It handles much better than a savage and just as durable imo (some say mt4 is tougher, some say the savage is tougher, some say they are the same). Only issue will be the steering servo, its junk and I replaced mine imediately with a savox 1256tg and now the steering is awesome.

They sell quickly though due to popularity but if you keep looking around you can eventually find one priced at about $550. MY lhs had 4 in the morning I got mine. I came at 4pm and bought the last one. They sold 4 mt4's in one day and they are just a small lhs in the suberbs, not some huge one with a track and all.
