What info are you looking for? These were made in the 80's.. and one of the coolest planes out at one time. I had one in 1986...

The Diablo was here before Extra's, Edge's, Sukhoi's, etc.. It was around the era of Cap20 and 21's.. One of the better aerobats.. if not the best of its time. The Laser was right there with it though.. still these were a step above in my opinion. There was also a large scale version from EZ...... identical in looks only scaled up. The smaller version you have flies very nice with a .91 or so 4-stroke. OK Models/Pilot also had some high end kits of the Diablo.. builders kits..again some of the best for that era.. one had to be pretty much expert to successfully complete one of those extensive kits.

I don't have any CG info on it, if I'm not mistaken.. the CG is printed right on the outer skin.. thats a vague memory for some reason.. we are talking 26yrs or more ago that I had mine.. haha.. I've got a decent memory.. but I can't remember the CG info from that long ago..whats wrong with me..?? .. I can vividly remember that thing being a beast though.. in that it was all out performance..very fun plane.. I don't know if all this helps.. but its info anyways.. and a free bump. I always did like this plane.. wouldn't mind having another one..but theres so many more out there now.. I've moved on.

Great flying plane, I have one with a YS120 in it.

I MIGHT have the book still, have to search for it.

they also made a .40 size. Didn't fly as well as the larger version though.

Thanks, I have a O.S. .90 2 Stroke in mine, I have the CG on mine O.K. Do you have a pic of yours? Mine does not really have much performance, I am thinking about replacing the coupled elevator and the very, very little throwing ailerons to high torque long throw servos.

Thanks, did it come with some sort of sticker material that I see on your wings and you can see on my rudder?

No, they were added.

With the light colored wing, it would disappear when coming in for a landing so that was added by a previous owner of the plane.

makes a huge difference!

Yeah, the bottom of mine has orange checkerboard on the bottom of the wing and it is solid on the moving part of the elevator. (bottom also)

This just in.... Heres a smokin deal on the "Lion Models" version....NIB unbuilt... very similar if not identical to the EZ if memory serves.. at $165 it won't last but a few hours.. if that. I'm so tempted.. but I've got so many other planes... its the deal of the day I do believe. Here's the link..

If anyone reading this gets ahold of it.. you can thank me later.

Nice plane, but I prefer the larger one.

had a spare one NIB and sold it to a club member.

When my current Diablo reaches it final flight, I'll cry then. LOL

Mine was a beast with an OS.61 FSR 2-stroke... it was one of the best of that era.. then along came the Lasers, Extras, etc.. The Diablo is really the plane that hooked me on aerobats.. then I became an Extra freak.. then Edge's.. but for $165 its a steal.. still tempted here. I just spent a wad at the LHS yesterday.. got some great deals.. so I'm done spending for my year..

PS..I just saw someone has a PM in on it.. its probably a goner.. someones getting a piece of history there.. cheap. I usually watch these kinds of sales.. I figured it would only take a matter of hours. Very cool... and Twin.. thats a nice looking Diablo right there man.. good stuff...

Wow, that is awesome. I wish I had the money, I spent it on my new E-flite Edge 540QQ 280, and I wont get to fly it until the batteries come in.

As of today its still not marked sold.. so there's still a chance.. I'm still tempted.. it would be my luck I'd put my name in the hat, and it would be too late.. haha.. There was also an actual EZ Extra230 that just went for even less.. I think it was priced at $145.. around there anyway. That one only lasted a few hours.. its gone though. There out there..

I've been curious about that 540QQ.. I might have to look that up.. I had the micro Sukhoi v2, and wasn't impressed.. thats all for another thread though..

That Diablo still may be up for grabs though..

It is fairly nice, if you need a small plane to do 3D or aerobatics it would be good. I have wondered about that V2 Sukhoi, I had the V1 and really liked it, my Dad gave it to me after 2 years establishing that he made it fly once and couldn't get it back in the air even if he tried his hardest. I liked the way it flew, flew it after repairing the fuse and wing about 3 times with epoxy most of it's weight was from glue. (both broke in half!) I about bought that V2 too!

Did you check to see if you still have the manual? I had a Big Supra and found the manual in some of my files, I also tried to find the one for the Diablo but it wasn't in the box with it.

OK, so, on **** some guy offered to buy it but hasn't made an offer, do you think I should sell it as rare as it is? I don't really want to sell it.

I sold the NIB kit I had to the presadent of my club. Next time i see him i will see if i can get a copy.
