New issue with my build. Took my 16in mono hull out for testing today. Ran into an issue. Anywhere from 0 to 80 % throttle is perfect. Anything above that cuts out after only a few seconds. My guess is battery quality and or mah rating? I'm just getting into this Electric stuff. I get the same results of full throttle for only a few seconds then dropping to around 70-80% throttle with both battery's listed below. Other than that and bad chine walk it was a success!

Turnigy BL 28/45 2900kv 11.1v (60a 500w max give or take)
Turnigy Marine esc 60A w/bec timing around 22 degrees if I'm not mistaken.
Testing with 34mm prop and 32mm
3s1p turnigy nano tech 1000mah 25c
3s1p eBay special 1600mah 25c

Could be low voltage cut off of the ESC- what amps are drawing at 80% throttle. The batteries you are using can theoretically supply  1.6amps x 25c which is about 35amps- not a lot. I suspect voltage is sagging because the amps cannot be delivered so your ESC is cutting off.

ESC and Battery problem! Just joking, try running both batteries in parrallel to see if you can stay at 100%throttle.

Lol yea yea make of the poor guy lol. My watt meter only showed (and im going off memory) 26 amps and 170 watts from an already partially drained batt. This whole thing started out as a rescue for my nitros during tuning. Go ahead make fun of the gasser dead in the water :-) I would love to be able to fit a 5000mah battery in there and eliminate the issue all together but I don't have ROOM. I ordered a gens ace 2200 last night hopefully that solves the problem without sinking me. Def going to throw CG off. Guess I didn't really think things out when I ordered the motor esc combo.

Higher C rating would help if you can't get the capacity. Max amp draw is capacity x C rating. Manufacturers always exaggerate so go for a large safety margin.

I think that is a rebranded seaking esc, they have known LVC issues, try setting it to 3.0 volts of off and see what happens.
Bad idea running a pair of batteries of different capacity, ok if the packs are exactly the same.
You batteries very well may net be able to supply the current you're demanding.
40C would be much better, a little more headroom. But I'd try the esc low voltage cuttoff first. As I said the seakings have a LVC problem, good solid esc other than that.

Good stuff. Yea took it out today after changing LVC to 3.0 volts. Checked the packed after running and showed 11.4v still. Top speed was achieved today for a few min b4 it cut out. Almost twice as long on the 1.6 pack. The combo of 4.2v per cell and changing the lvc solved my mystery.

475w 67a pulled with 34mm prop
437w 46A with 31mm prop.

34mm prop was way to fast for the hull. Hit a tiny bit of chop at WOT and she took a nose dive to the bottom of the lake! Had mud stuck on the nose :-) thanks for your help guys. Going to get a GPS on it tomorrow if the wind dies down.

Siberian husky- I meant to use both packs at once in parallel to trouble shoot- not regularly or until either pack is anywhere near used. Should have made that clear.
Sounds like higher C and or capacity is needed.
