A friend gave me one of those $18 electirc helicopters after he couldn't fly it.  It was my first heli, and after a while I was able to fly it.  However, the flights are very, very short and most of the time is spent trimming it out - and it never stays in trim.   It can not hover for longer than 1-2 seconds without rotating.

Anyway, I sort of like flying it around indoors, and was wondering what model would be an inexpensive electric heli that stays in trim and has relaible controls?  Nothing fancy or expensive, I just want to chase the wife and pets around.

Or one of the the Syma S107 series coax heli's.  Got one for Christmas and now I have the Heli bug.  They are durable as all get out, inexpensive and easy to fly.

go buy yourself a blade scout cx....hobby shops sell them for 49.99..they are rock solid stable 3 channel, so it's easy to fly, zips around nicely, heading hold gyro, good flight times and almost bullet proof....if you decide to get more serious get a blade msr then learn to fly collective after that if you get addicted to r/c helis...thats your best bets for success and not getting frustrated to the point of quitting the hobby...if you think your serious about it I'd get a dx6i radio when you get an msr so you get used to a real radio...my fiance flys a scout cx and now i have an msr i paid 35 bucks for used and used my dx6i for it so she can move up to that...hope that helps
