Hey guys, All UPS packages have $100 of insurance automatically included per package. All you need to do is contact the sender and tell them. They will file the claim with UPS. If they do not agree then file a chargeback on your credit card. because there is no signature, the shipper MUST prove you received the item. I am a shipper and go through this all the time - MD

i'm glad i live in a somewhat rural area, never had any problems with ups mixing up addresses or having packages stolen after delivery. i used to live in a city (madison,wi) and i wouldn't trust any of my neighbors around me so i always had my packages delivered to my work place or my mothers.

Just an FYI. I had two UPS Packages stolen from my front door today. UPS shows they left them at 4:20PM Ca. Time and I got home at 4:30 and they were gone. I hope whoever took them enjoys the contents. Just some Robart air line and a 1/7 scale pilot, and a couple of other small RC parts. Oh well it won't ruin my Christmas.

Merry Christmas
Jim

You all need to go to HP website and you will see the caliber of UPS driver they are now hiring part time for the holidays. Got the UPS driver on video stealing a FedX package at the ame address were he made his delivery. The driver was caught but the homeowner did not file charges.

I am a City Postal carrier with the USPS for 27 years now. Today I was listening to the radio while doing my route, and the radio hose was talking about how a UPS delivery person was caught stealing a FED EX package. What  he did is he delivered a UPS package to a house, but he later returned to that house and took the FED EX package. The home owner called FED Ex and asked them how come the FED EX package was NOT delivered, but FED EX told him that their system showed that the package was delivered at a certain time. So the home owner checked his very well hidden Security camera to see who took the package. The video showed the UPS driver returning to his porch and taking the package which was an Apple ipad mini.  The customer reported it to the UPS and showed them the video, and UPS fired the guy and had him arrested.

Being a USPS mail carrier, I am always afraid to leave packages at the doors of my customers, even when they insist I leave them. It is a very good idea to invest in a good HIDDEN video camera system at your doors. I say Hidden because if Criminals know you have a video camera, all they will do is wear a hoodie or hide their identtity and steal your stuff.

The best thing to do regarding UPS is to go to your local UPS store and purchase a MailBox and have all packages sent there, and then go pick them up, because otherwise UPS delivery persons are told to leave the packages at the door.

Thank goodness I know my UPS driver personally. If something was missing I would just look him up

Like every profession, good and bad apples in the barrel. It is really odd why people don't send shipments to their work address.  Also amazing is how much is NOT stolen.
