So, little over a week to go till the annual CJ event run buy Dick and his slick team...always look forward to this one, we have had some really good weather, considering the time of year and UK 'winter' weather.
I know there are a few new "toys" appearing for the first time, should be good!

Yes Dave, really looking forward to this one too. I'll be there with the new Aurora. It won't be flying but will be in static display for all to see. Jamie & me hope to have it test flown early in the new year so we can post some video and it can be ready to fly at the first jet meet next year.

Famous last words on the weather. Let's hope it's going to be a good day

See you all there

Ian

Yep can't wait, trusty old Phoenix for me Pat.

BTW the Tamjets 1/8th airline multi coloured stuff got some on order from the States but think its gone via the Moon so anyone coming who's got a spare roll that wants to sell it, no ones seems to have any in stock, my F5 is half complete and i want to keep it all colour coded, I admit to being a bit sad like that.

My gate number is over 100!

Attendance looks good to me. Forecast wind 10-12mph from the SouthWest. All we need is a little sunshine!

I note that some unflown models are coming. Has any thought been given to reserving a slot for maiden flights, perhaps over lunch? I have always tried to bring well tried models that can cope with 3 or 4 others in the air with me. However with most grass runways underwater over the last few months, I suspect that there are quite a few new models waiting for their first flight? Watching others prepare and conduct a maiden flight could be instructive, particularly while enjoying Dick's culinary artistry! If the committee announces a definite slot planned, I might even find the courage to bring one myself!

Wishing everyone a merry Christmas,

Henry

So far hardly any rain, warm and wind down main runway. But like our Xmas day flying yesterday it forecast wind and rain and it was almost flat calm all morning and the sun even came out as we left!
