Now we can have a shoot out between the Hangar 9, Pilot, and Bill Hempel. I have only seen the Bill Hempel in that size. A little competition is good for the hobby.

But you can't fly it indoors, says so right in specs.

I love it but wish they would bring it out in 1/4 scale as well. That beast is way too big for my vehicle and storage area.

Finally one that looks scale. H9 did a great job. The Pilot-RC and Hempel Decathlons are fun scale at most. The nose section/cowl are so messed up/goofy looking on those, that I wouldn't want one if it was free. H9 sure could school the other Decathlon mfg's, as Mike McConville has flat nailed this design. This is the most scale kit/arf I have seen since the Pilot/Ok Model 1/4 scale Decathlon kits from years back. Sure wish I had a trailer to haul one of these beautiful airframes. Maybe they will come out with a 1/4 scale version. I'm sure a lot of people would be all over it in a hurry. I hope this one is a great seller for Horizon.

Mr. Yak, the Seagull offering is 1/5 scale and looks pretty nice if you wanted a smaller one. Yeah, I know, too small....

Your more than likely going to have to build a set of your own. Balsa USA has several nice sets. I'm pretty sure HH has no plans for floats for this model being its a Decahlon. Now maybe if it was a Scout, and not a Decathlon? Who knows though?
