Where do you suppose all those airplanes are that Greyhound has lost?

Setting in terminals waiting to be claimed. they don't notify recipients when they arrive, and they don't keep track of what they have.

It's well known that they are stored in a huge warehouse in Area 51 and seen in the Indiana Jones movies! Jon

If you wait long enough, you're bound to see some of them on e-bay! Those boxes are too big to stay in a terminal's storage area forever, but if they disappear at the end of a terminal manager's shift one night, doubtful that anyone at the terminal will wonder about it much.

Yeah, my thoughts exactly. Those boxes are too big to be truly lost. They have been mishandled, either intentionally or unintentionally, but they are not "lost". Somebody will end up with them, and may or may not know what to do with the contents, but somebody will have possession of them.

They could also end up in a warehouse auction, simular to the storage areas and the left over stuff off airplanes . Might be something to look into . Could be fun buying an unopened box for a few bucks .

We used to do that out in Calif. when we lived there . We hit a couple nice boxes and I can't say I lost money and back in the 60's we didn't have much cash and it made for a neat outing. ENJOY !!! RED

The thread title supposes that there are many lost,, I can only think of two that are documented as lost here on RCU.

Curious what people think the percentage actually is, shipped planes/lost or stolen

My history is 6/0
