OK group this has been"resting for years" time to get it ready to go again, lust a cleanup and a new battery will be put in, old one at least 10 years old, irvine 40 diesel Davis head
the irvine shown is not the one going in we have the same setup with the MVVS muffler, that one, think we had a 12x6 on her it also had an Irvine 53 Davis head but want to run the 40 again, id I take the 53 with me engine mounts with clamp bars can do on the spot in 5 minutes, time to relive the past, this the first one I put together, still here, no damage from " hard landings" martin

Matrin, did you get that plane from a source in Canada, I got one from another source and it was built of really soft wood and the control rods were too short.

Dave it came from Richmond RC in Canada the hardware was not stellar, replaced with 2-56 sullivan clevises soldered on new rods also went over seams .firewall with epoxy
and on side of fus glued 1/4 x3/8 strips where wing sits, really made it nice and stiff and 1/8 ply pad on inside then bolted on landing gear, when I joined the wing halves used
3/16 screws, washers and nuts to pull together left them in of course. vertical stab and horizonal wire braced, wing braced with aluminum struts to bottom of fus ( bolts on) just thought a good idea to do it big heavy wing

maybe a bit of overkill but survives well on really tough fields in short a bush plane , the newer VMAR ARFS much better hardware even CNC clevises bought a dozen threaded 2mm there was a lot of complaints on wood quality never an issue with any of mine update version now is Apache lll its perfect in wood and hardware qualilty martin
