I have a 2 yr old DLE-30 that has (up to this point) run like a champion. In just the last two visits to the field it will run just fine but about 4 min. into the flight then it will stop. No warning is given, it just stops. I've tweeked the settings, replumbed the tank and looked for any leaks, replaced the ignition mod. and ensured the oil mix is 30/1 or better. On the ground it idles fine, transitions flawlessly and in general behaves. Again, once she's in the air about 4 min., dead. I just put in a new, properly gapped NGK plug and will give that a try now.

Anything else I should consider?

Thanks

Make sure the sensor and its connector are good or just replace it. Try flying without the cowl. w8ye has a good point. Dan.

Do you have a battery tester that can check voltage under a 200 MAH load?  Or try another battery pac know to be good.  Capt,n

A rich set engine can quit at lower RPM in the air...

Anything's possible, but that's not very likely.... if you've made ANY attempt at running properly when on the ground?

Plano,
when it dead sticks and you get it back to the pits try starting it without changing anything.
If it will start strait up again it may have overheated from being too lean or bad baffling or a combination of the two.
If it doesn't start again it may have a bad battery or a fuel draw problem.
When you retrieve it does it have fuel in the line to the carb?
What kind of flying were you doing when it quit? 3D or putting around in a cub?

3136,
Excellent suggestion and questions. (Just lurking and learning.)
