I bought a lipo 3s 2200mah lipo battery to replace my bad stock battery. A guy at the field just showed me his lipo in his RDS8000. I bought the one at hobby people on sale for $12.99. After i get home i find out it barely does not fit in my Tx. How can i make it fit but not ruin the radio?

Perhaps consider this if you check dimensions...

I guess i'm really asking is, has anyone had this problem with the Lipo barely not fitting and how did they solve it. Do i need to buy another battery or can a modify the TX to make it fit safely?

I believe I'd rather buy a different 15 dollar battery than carve up a 200 dollar radio..

Easy, use Eneloops, all the advantage of LiPo with none of the problems.
