Hi Guys,

I bought the RB eOne (4wd, electric, brushless, RTR buggy running of 2x 5000mah LiPos) 5 days ago, after about 4 runs and no jumps of any kind i started to get a very loud metal like grinding noise coming from the rear of the car...its extremely lound and i know for a fact it shouldnt  be doing it..as i started to pull the rear covers off to see if i had damaged the rear gear i did notice there was a fair amount of dirt in there but also on the teeth of the gears a few where chipped, only small nothing major..other than that there was no physical damage BUT! the grub screws in the gear where loose so i did tighten them.
So i put it back up put it all back together to take it for another run and the noise is back but louder and more worrying..So im driving my car around my yard trying to pin point where the noise is coming from to notice its only Front wheel drive now..the rear wheels are not spinning at all when i try to accellerate. it has huge power lose and is still making the noise. AND to make it more interesting when i lift the car up (all 4 wheels off the ground) the noise dissapears and it returns to 4wd (after abit of encouragement)

If you need any additional information please let me know.

Please Help

Thanks

It sounds like the gear mesh or the differential went kaput. My mini E Revo has the same problem. Take the back diffrential out and rebuild or clean it. That is what i did, and the noise stopped.

Hi Collector,

i took my car to the r/c shop in which i bought it from and he pulled it apart and had a look inside and goes " thats not dirt in there man, thats gear dust" it was little bits of dust that was originally the teeth of the gear but $30 to fix and its all good.

Thanks so much for your help
