I have an A9 TX I bought 8-2011 and have run into some problems. I had no problems with it for about 6 months of use, then I started getting some odd screen glitching. The screen is showing a kind of "rain" falling like the matrix movie. Very faint. Also, while flying, the screen is jumping around and changing screens. This verified by another pilot watching my TX while I was flying. Also, the low voltage indicator beeps at me when flying, even though I am fully charged.
Question: should I send it in to be serviced, or is this something you guys have seen before and is there a fix on my end? I used my back up TX this past flying season, but would like to get my A9 back into service.
I have not updated the firmware. it is not the latest version I know that. Maybe an update would solve my issue? I just do not have all of the stuff to update all of my RX'ers also.

Not a firmware issue.
Have you removed or replaced the original screen protector? the plastic can slide and be putting pressure on an area.
. Aurora 9 - Screen Protector & Intermittent Screen or Icon Problems - Remove Protector or Not & alternate replacements & DIY Fixes.
. Aurora 9 - Screen Sensitivity & Recalibration - Pressure switches, not capacitive, use either Stylus provided or very tip of finger for best results.
Also if Tx has been knocked (can happen at field without your knowledge) could also be putting pressure on screen.
If above do not resolve problem, back screws out a little and check Tx case is correctly aligned.

Have never seen anything like that in three flying systems with my A9.  I keep the software updated but never saw any screen glitches prior to updates.

I had removed the screen protector. With one of my models I was getting glitching on the ground as well while watching the screen change. I am almost certain I will have to send this in, just thought maybe I could avoid it.

After talking with Hitec Service, and deciding I could not trust mine, I sent it in for repair with the very same problem, and I am expecting to replace the screen. It went in just before Christmas, so, I do not expect to hear from them very soon.
I bought a new Optic 7 Pro so I would have a back-up radio and not have to replace a bunch of receivers. Re-link to what airplane you wish, do your set-up and you are back to flying, and leave the original set-up in the A-9.
