Ive got a Savage Flux HP and my stock Blur ESC has been playing up for a while now, theres a lot of dust in the fan and its not cooling tha well and so im looking at upgrading the ESC and motor.

Whats available thats better than the stock ESC and will withstand sand and dust getting in and wont stuff it up.  Im going to be running it in the dunes so i want something that will allow me to do that.

Also i want a motor thats better than the stock HP one that is fully compatable with the ESC that im asking about.

Thanks

Would you not take the fan out and clean it?

Would be much cheaper than replacing an esc.

none. ALL will clog up with that.

as for motors you are kinda stuck unless you feel like dremeling the living hell out of the motor mount.

An ESC that will run cooler is the Hobbywing 150A ESC, but it will still clog up. I run one in my flux with the 2000kv motor, but it took me over an hour of dremeling the motor mounts(and a few bits) to make the motor fit.

This motor mount will help you mount just about any motor in there including the bigger diameter Castle 1717's http://www.rc-monster.com/proddetail.php?prod=rcmfluxmnt
Personally I'd send the stock esc in and get it replaced, then mod the case for a bigger, better fan, its the cheapest route. Other than the fan the MMM/Blur hold up just as well as the Hobbywing 150 to big motors, mines been great on 6s powering a 1717 in an XXL for years. For motors have a look at the Leopards, the longer and lower kv ones that'll love the dunes and 6s. From what I hear they're close in performance and efficiency to the Castle 1520's that are getting really hard to find. BTW if you want a really nice hardly used 1520 pm me.
