Hi Nuno:

1. KingTech innards are composed of highest grade of Inconel steel, plus Hastelloy X (an ultra high grade and corrosion resistant alloy to fabricate afterburners for full scale military aircraft) However, with the low sulfur content of today's Diesel worldwide, we still fail to understand why we are the only turbine manufacturer to endorse the use of Diesel, which is less expensive, higher output, and readily available around the corner. Perhaps the success of KingTech Diesel running is not limited to the over engineered materials used, rather, the core of turbine design.

2. I believe this is strictly in the turbine design, particularly in the fuel delivery.

May I suggest to stockpile KTs!

No, there's no plan to raise prices AT ALL.

In fact, we try to maintain the same MAP even when newer model of the same size engine is introduced. But if we must in the future, it'll be modest and will have to be due to the cost of materials. The factory is currently establishing a new facility dedicated to turbine engine productions. We thank everyone for your loyalty and support and has every intent to produce the most reasonably priced engines yet with performance and reliability that every pilot could count on.

Status: offline 		I just ran my new 180G on the test stand to dial the diesel parameters; and it produced 41# of thrust.

I'll be tweaking on it some more to get to my liking in the next couple of days and will try to get some video of it starting and running.

IQ-Hammer approves the use of diesel in their turbines. That's what I've been running in my IQ-180+ with great results.

Status: offline 		hey george the preheat took a little while what is your preheat fuel %? I noticed mine was set a little high from the factory which was cooling off the preheat from to much fuel. Mine was around 30% my friend is around 8%. This may help get a faster preheat stage, but other than that looked like a nice start up. Once I use up all my Kero I think I may just go a head and run diesel in mine.

I agree, BUT that is by choice because anymore and I would get a few drips of fuel from the tail cone on the first start of the day. This was also done in fairly cool weather, so should be better during the normal flying season. And from memory (which isn't great ), I think it's 11%. The engine put out a consistent 41# on multiple runs.

Status: offline 		Cool deal, 41! on the 180, I think I may have to drop to a 170 or even a 140 for the F-14/F-15. 80+ lbs of thrust on a 55lb model nice test to see what the 180 does around our conditions

Fender, that was a nice and smooth Diesel start and pretty typical. Preheat stage during Diesel start is generally slower, but wondering if the preheat RPM lowered down to 5000 may speed things up a bit? Love to look into it at FL Jets.

Status: offline 		Yelp I said the same thing, it just seemed longer than normal but George said it was what he wanted. Really like the new design and seems more and more people are trying diesel.
