I know I've seen this subject here before, but danged if I can't find it.  I have an EZrun 35A 4300kv motor system, the one with the blue finned motor. It's about a year old and has been great since I got it.  All of a sudden today, I turn it on for a run, hit the throttle, and it just sites there and stutters. I tried re-cal'ing the throttle, didn't work.  Tried again, and it did, but just a coule minutes later it stops and starts stuttering again.
I tried an identical motor on my other car and it worked, but I don't have confidence in that data point because after that, I reconnected the original motor, and it ran for another five minutes, but then stopped and sat there stuttering again. Steering servo seems to work ok. So the question is: is my ESC going kaput, or is the motor?  OR is it neither one of those?  Maybe an issue with the throttle channel on the receiver?  Hmmmmmmm...........

When it's shuddering if u kick it will it take off?

I'm assuming u checked all the temps, batter, motor, esc and used a good fully garbed battery
And u haven't changed wheels or gearing before this run, the car still rolls nicely?

If those are all sweet, check the 3 wires to the motor, all it takes is one bad wire/connection to cause symptoms like that.

Easy way is wiggle the wires why actuating the throttle lever

Right.  Did all those things.  I did notice one of the three motor wire connectors seemed a little less tight than the other two.  That would do it, huh?

Went and had a look at the motor wires this morning.  I used a hobby knife to "open up" the splines on the bullet connector to the motor that seemed not as tight as the other two.  Turned on the car and it seems to work fine!  But, it's too cold yet to go out and see if I can run a whole battery w/o it stopping.  But it looks like maybe that was the problem.  Thanks Maximus!

awsome... fingers crossed....

good little tips are,
solder the wires directly to eachother,
or
put some conductive grease on the connectors, to keep dirt out and prevent oxidation
and put heatshrink over the connectors

goodluck, happy new year

Happy New Year, indeed!  That connector was the problem.  The male end has a splined spring-tension collar. I used a hobby knife to open them up, and the connection is better.  Car runs fine again!  Thanks again!  Gotta love these forums.
